1st August 1997 had to be a British day for me. At first, I had a meeting in Nara with my friends who loves U.K. Two of them reported their trip to England and Scotland just a month ago they had in a different period. I also reported my view of Liverpool. We also talked about Princess Diana who come to Japan first time in 1986. I didn't know what happened to her at that time.
Then I met another friends at a British pub in Osaka, this time we are all who love the Beatles. In this pub, I heard an unbelievable news from a friend. He said about Princess Diana's car accident. Cos I was go out all day long, I couldn't heard any news of this. I wanted to think it must be a bad joke or something.
After these meeting, I and my friend was back his flat in Osaka where I stayed for three days. We turned on a TV and connected to the Internet. Then I realised it was true. I'm not a British citizen nor a monarchist but I was very shocked. I'm speechless just thinking about her tragic life. She had the hellish experience till she die. 30th August was my 28th birthday but went to terrible days. 31st August was definitely a British day for me.
